Victoriana meets Danish Arts and Crafts

Case Study

Many of our projects start as a recent purchase with an opportunity – this house became a reinvention from the house as acquired. As musicians, the clients often host large groups of people for practising and entertaining. We wanted to retain the Victorian features and charm, reinstate Victorian details where appropriate, and reinvent the modern Kitchen space suitable for entertaining large groups of people, at all times of year. There was a desire to create a Scandinavian feel, as there was much Art-Deco Danish heirloom furniture to be incorporated. We also took the opportunity to make the most of a loft conversion to create a modern and flexible home office for the client. The success of this project was also testament to a strong relationship with the client – as with all of our projects we see the client as part of the team, where we all work towards a fantastic end result which satisfies the client’s needs.
